The better the CPU, the more efficient the device will be in terms of battery consumption, because the best CPU is smarter and more advanced in handling system logic. The Black Shark 4 Pro has triple rear AI cameras, a 64MP f/1.8 primary camera paired with a 120-degree ultra-wide-angle shooter of 8MP, and a dedicated 5MP depth of field sensor. The front camera is a 20MP sensor with an f/2.2 sensor covered with a 5P lens. The camera can record in 4K at 60/30fps, record slow-motion videos in 720p at 1920fps, 720p at 480fps and in 1080p at 240fps. To exit the Xiaomi Black Shark 4 Pro download mode screen, you can restart your device by using the Volume Down key or Soft Reset method.
- That’s with heavy social media browsing, an hour or two of YouTube, music streaming, and of course, gaming.
- The standard model is equipped with 6GB of RAM, which can be upgraded to 8GB or 12GB.
- Introduced with last year‘s model, the magnetic pop-up triggers make their return with the Shark 4.
- Adopting the parent company’s eye view, Black Shark phones usually bundle heavy-duty gear with lower mid-range price tags.
- I actually prefer these physical triggers over the touch-sensitive ultrasonic ones on the Asus ROG Phone 5.
The camera bump on the back is a little too pronounced and angular for our tastes, but it’s by no means ugly. All these features are available in the 4 Pro phone at a very reasonable price. Even better, the last time we checked online, we discovered the phone is 5G capable.
I used to be pretty skeptical about gaming phones, and for the most part, still am. It’s not the most impressive gaming-focused feature though; that award goes to the magnetic pop-up triggers, found on the right-side of the smartphone (or the top left and right when gaming horizontally). Hidden when not in use, the triggers simply pop out by flipping the switches that sit next to each, providing a more console-esque gaming experience without the need to carry around accessories. A gaming phone it most definitely is though, complete with firmware RGB lighting on the rear – although it is a bit lacklustre compared to most gaming peripherals that come packed with bright lights. Instead, you’re treated to a single triangular RGB panel that sits just beneath the rear-facing cameras, customisable to display different colours and patterns when you’re gaming, getting calls and more.
In his spare time, you’ll find Jason looking for good dogs to pet or thinking about eating pizza if he isn’t already. The Battery comes with a powerful non-removable Li-Po 4500 mAh and fast charging support.
There’s a faster processor, moving up to the Snapdragon 870 in the standard Black Shark 4 and the Snapdragon 888 in the 4 Pro. Both phones also come with fast LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, though each will come in different configurations.
